Hackers hide malware in cheat software for Call of Duty: Warzone. They also pass it on to a number of cheaters.
According to the game publisher Activision’s report, as reported by The Verge, Friday (2/4/2021), hackers did a variety of ways to get Call of Duty: Warzone players to download the ‘cheating software’.
After the gamer runs the software the malware will then infect the computer with whatever paid content the hacker chooses.
If that malware doesn’t attack you, chances are that you will just be banned from the game.
To be more secure, you should not be tempted to download any cheat software.
Not only Call of Duty, players who download cheats for Valorant, Fortnite, Minecraft, and Roblox will also find something unpleasant.
